Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness believes Neymar is overrated and he will attain the level of Messi or Ronaldo.
“We cannot invest €222m in Neymar, who does not seem so good,” Hoeness said. “We cannot invest figures like that, not even €180m for Mbappe, who I think is very good.”
Bayern chief admitted that they were interested in the Brazilian during Pep Guardiola’s tenure as coach but dismissed the idea due to the costs involved.
“We have to find our own way in this shark pit in which we move when talking about transfers for 100 and €200m, we want to be at the top but not at just any price,” Hoeness concluded.
