Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has been voted the best outfield player in the Bundesliga season so far.
Aubameyang claimed 33.6 per cent of the 238 votes cast by other German top flight players, having scored 20 goals in 21 matches for Dortmund in all competitions.
German magazine Kicker presented the poll in which players had to vote for the best outfield player of the ‘Hinrunde’, which is the first half of the Bundesliga season. Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang’s former teammate, was voted the best player of the ‘Ruckrunde’ – the second half of the term – last season.
RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg came in at second with 23.1 per cent of the vote, while Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski placed third with 14.3 per cent.
