Ahead of Thursday night’s Manchester derby, City coach Pep Guardiola was keen to steer clear of criticising his old rival Jose Mourinho.
The pair had a very strained relationship during their time as El Clasico tacticians but have been reunited in the north-west of England.
Guardiola revealed that the pair live nearby but is more worried about the battle against Mourinho’s Red Devils at the Etihad Stadium.
“We are neighbours and whenever we see each other, we say hi,” Guardiola told the assembled media.”Manchester United are a good team who have achieved what their coach wants. They are a strong opponent with great quality and they have had a long run in the Premier League without defeat.”
