Juventus’ striker Gonzalo Higuaín previews the upcoming Champions League final and his relationship with former teammate Sergio Ramos.
Higuain spent seven seasons at the Bernabéu but never won the Champions League with Los Blancos. Higuain spoke highly of his time at Madrid and added that the final will be extra special for him, playing against his old side and mates, “The fact that I played for Real earlier in my career adds some extra intrigue to the game for me personally but I can’t stress how much I want to win the Champions League for Juventus.”
Higuain knows the danger Sergio Ramos possesses on the field, scoring in two Champions League finals against Atlético Madrid in 2014 and 2016. “Let’s hope Ramos doesn’t score in the 90th minute.” He also expressed his affection for Los Blancos skipper, “I have a lot of affection for him and his family and we still send each other messages.”
