Lahm Set For Incredible Bayern Munich Milestone Against Schalke

Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm will make a landmark 500th appearance for the Bavarian club when Carlo Ancelotti’s side play Schalke 04 on Saturday.

Lahm, who has enjoyed a 15-year career with the German champions, has won everything there is to win at club level and can also boast winning the World Cup with his country in 2014.

The 33-year-old made his first senior appearance for the club back in 2002, coming on as a late substitute for Markus Feulner in a 3-3 Champions League group stage draw against Lens. He would spend the next three years without making another senior appearance for the side, but looking at him now, you’ll see one of the greatest European defenders the game has ever bred.
