Monaco winger Thomas Lemar is reportedly ready to force through a move to Arsenal.
The Daily Star says the winger’s ambition is to play for Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger, who is still regarded as football royalty in France. But the Monte Carlo club are threatening to block a €51m move because they fear they are losing too many players.
Last season’s Champions League semi-finalists have sold midfielder Bernardo Silva, 22, to Manchester City for €50m and also look like losing left-back Benjamin Mendy, 23 tomorrow, to Pep Guardiola’s club.
